Made in Taiwan Part 2

My teacher thinks it's a evil mushroom and it's alive. Haa..

This was my 1st silver jewelry piece, Key pendant.
It's harder to make than you think. I had to combined 5 pieces together then add texture on the heart and added ring.

I was experiencing wax jewelry making..really hard to control those tools:P
Finally I post some silver jewelry I made in
Those are my teacher, Anita's web site. You can see her jewelry and class schedule.

Made in Taiwan, Part 1
Taiwan! What a fantastic island which is full of the energy and creativity.
I used to think that Taiwan animation and art aren’t original enough.
However, I totally changed my mind yesterday.
I went to KAIYODO and OTAKU culture lectures at Taipei Fine Art Museum.

There are many artists, designer toy companies, and animation companies working hard and bring Taiwanese art to different level.
Take a look of this Taiwan animation studio. http://www.sofastudio.com/index.htm.
The original broadcast show they created.

I feel really excited to see their animation. Finally, there is a company doing full production line in Taiwan but not only the animation part. Characters are very appealing and animation is quit fluently. We may their animation on Teletoon or PBS one day in Canada.
P.S all the image copy right are belong to Sofa animation studio

Save Whales

TInternational moratorium
Japan kills more than 1,000 whales a year in the Antarctic and also the Pacific Ocean using a loophole in an international moratorium that allows catching whales for research.
Only Norway and Iceland defy the moratorium outright.
This year, Japan is expanding the catch to include 50 humpback whales, which are celebrated for their complex songs and acrobatic displays.
The expedition also plans to kill 50 fin whales - the world's second largest animal after blue whales - as well as 850 smaller minke whales.
ABC News

This is the sad news I've been watching these day. I feel so sad about those innocent whales. Humpback whales was one of the animal being marked as "in danger".Finally their populations have recovered, but cruel Japanese people are hunting them again for their "Science Research"?!
I am too mad to write about any commoms.

Jewelry making Part 1

I love making earrings!!
I usually use fish wire to make them like the 1st photo.
Couple weeks ago, I got some tools and silver wire and try the chains jewelry.
I love it!!
It was fun and I love it I can combine both design.
What should I make next time? I order some basic gold and silver chain necklaces, can’t wait to get them and give them new look!!
